Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to Poker Riot experiences, services and bookings.

Poker Riot is operated by Emilia Riot in England, United Kingdom.

Contact: hello@pokerriot.com

By confirming a booking, you agree to these terms.

1. The Poker Riot experience

Poker Riot provides professionally hosted poker experiences, introductions, preparation and post-session reflection.

Depending on the experience booked, Emilia Riot may:

  • meet you before the casino session;
  • explain poker-room procedures, etiquette and what to expect;
  • accompany you at the casino;
  • remain available during agreed breaks; and
  • provide an agreed follow-up or reflection session.

Emilia may not play in the same game, sit at your table or remain physically beside you throughout play.

Poker Riot is independent of the casino or poker venue and does not operate, control or provide the poker game.

2. Age, identification and venue admission

You must be at least 18 years old to book or attend a casino-based experience. Casinos do not permit anyone under 18 to enter.

You are responsible for:

  • bringing valid photographic identification;
  • meeting the venue’s dress code and membership requirements;
  • complying with all venue rules;
  • behaving appropriately towards staff, players and guests; and
  • ensuring that you are legally and personally able to gamble.

Admission is always at the venue’s discretion. Poker Riot cannot override a venue’s security, membership, self-exclusion or admission decisions.

3. Poker buy-in and other costs

The experience price does not include your poker buy-in.

You must choose, fund and purchase your own game entry directly from the casino or poker venue using your own money.

Poker Riot:

  • does not collect, hold or manage your gambling funds;
  • does not stake or lend money to clients;
  • does not receive a share of your winnings;
  • cannot guarantee that a particular game or seat will be available; and
  • is not responsible for your wins, losses or decisions at the table.

Travel, accommodation, food, drinks, casino membership fees and other personal expenses are not included unless expressly stated in writing.

4. Gambling and poker decisions

Poker involves financial risk. You may lose some or all of the money you choose to play with.

You are solely responsible for:

  • deciding whether to play;
  • selecting your game and buy-in;
  • setting your spending limit;
  • making every decision during play; and
  • stopping when appropriate.

Poker Riot provides general education, preparation and personal reflection. It does not provide financial advice or guarantee profit, success, winnings or improved results.

No advice will be given while a hand is in progress. Venue rules and poker-room integrity must always be respected.

Only gamble with money you can afford to lose. Gambling support is available through the safer-gambling services identified by the Gambling Commission.

5. Professional boundaries and behaviour

Poker Riot is a professional poker experience.

It is not a dating, escort, romantic, sexual or adult-entertainment service. No sexual contact is offered, implied or permitted.

The following behaviour is prohibited:

  • unwanted touching or attempted physical contact;
  • sexual comments, propositions or requests;
  • persistent flirting after a boundary has been expressed;
  • harassment, stalking or intimidation;
  • aggressive, threatening or discriminatory conduct;
  • requesting or attempting to discover Emilia Riot’s home address or private location;
  • following Emilia after the agreed experience has ended;
  • excessive intoxication or illegal drug use; and
  • any behaviour that makes Emilia, venue staff or another person feel unsafe.

Emilia Riot may establish or reinforce personal and professional boundaries at any time.

Serious or repeated misconduct may result in the experience ending immediately. Venue security or the police may be contacted where appropriate.

Where an experience is ended because of the client’s serious breach of these terms, no refund will normally be provided, subject always to applicable consumer law.

6. Alcohol and personal safety

You must remain in control of your behaviour throughout the experience.

Poker Riot may pause or end an experience where a client appears:

  • heavily intoxicated;
  • unable to make safe decisions;
  • aggressive, distressed or unwell; or
  • unable to comply with venue rules.

You remain responsible for arranging safe travel to and from the venue.

7. Booking and payment

A booking becomes binding only when:

  1. the experience, date, price and key arrangements have been confirmed in writing by Poker Riot; and
  2. the required payment has been received.

The booking confirmation will state what is included, the expected duration and any agreed follow-up session.

The experience is personal to the named client. You must obtain written approval before transferring the booking to another person.

8. Client cancellations

Once an experience has been booked for a specific date, the statutory 14-day cancellation right will generally not apply because the booking relates to a leisure activity on a specified date.

Unless your booking confirmation states otherwise:

  • 14 days or more before the experience: full refund or one free date transfer;
  • 7–13 days before the experience: one date transfer, but no cash refund;
  • less than seven days before the experience: non-refundable;
  • failure to attend: non-refundable.

A transferred date must normally take place within three months and is subject to availability.

Any unavoidable third-party costs already incurred may be deducted where this was clearly disclosed and is lawful.

Genuine emergencies may be considered reasonably and individually, but alternative dates cannot be guaranteed.

9. Cancellation or changes by Poker Riot

Poker Riot may need to change the venue, timing or arrangements because of illness, venue decisions, game availability, safety concerns or circumstances outside reasonable control.

Where a material change is required, you will be offered:

  • a reasonable alternative;
  • a transfer to another date; or
  • a refund of the affected Poker Riot service fee.

Poker Riot is not responsible for independently booked travel, accommodation or other costs unless the loss results from a breach of contract for which Poker Riot is legally responsible.

Do not make non-refundable travel or accommodation arrangements until your booking has been confirmed.

10. Privacy, discretion and recordings

Poker Riot treats client enquiries, bookings and attendance discreetly in accordance with its Privacy and Client Discretion Policy.

Clients must also respect Emilia Riot’s privacy and personal safety.

Without prior permission, you must not:

  • publish Emilia’s private contact details or home address;
  • disclose her private or live location;
  • share confidential messages or correspondence;
  • secretly record audio or video;
  • publish photographs taken in a private or restricted context;
  • impersonate Emilia or Poker Riot; or
  • present the experience in a deliberately false or misleading way.

Photographs or social-media content involving Emilia must be agreed before publication.

This clause does not prevent an honest review, a lawful complaint, disclosure to a solicitor or adviser, reporting concerns to the police or a regulator, or exercising legal rights.

11. Personal property and venue activity

You are responsible for your money, chips, belongings, identification and personal property.

Poker Riot is not responsible for:

  • property lost, stolen or damaged at the venue;
  • casino staff decisions;
  • game availability or waiting lists;
  • other players’ behaviour;
  • CCTV, security or identification procedures operated by the venue; or
  • gambling outcomes.

Any issue concerning the operation of a poker game must be raised directly with the casino or venue.

12. Our responsibility

Poker Riot will provide its services with reasonable care and skill, as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Poker Riot is responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by a breach of these terms or a failure to use reasonable care and skill.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by negligence;
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
  • rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Consumer terms must be fair, and liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence cannot be excluded.

13. Complaints

Please raise any concern as soon as possible so it can be addressed fairly.

Include your name, booking date and a clear explanation of the issue.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory consumer protections and rights available to you in your home jurisdiction.
